DALVIMART, OCTAVIEN. The Costume of Turkey. Illustrated by a Series of Engravings; with Descriptions in English and French. London: William Miller, 1802. Although dated 1802 on the title-page, there is a watermark in the prelimaries of 1796. There may be other watermarks as well not accounted for in this description. Folio (34 x 27cm), 2 title-pages, one with engraving [x] 60 hand-colored plates with descriptions and tissue-guards. Small owner's stamp to one title-page. Save for missing half-title, complete. Text leaves are foxed and/or toned. Plates are lightly and evenly toned. Bound in half red morocco over cloth, top edge gilt, gilt spine. Gilt lettering on spine reads: 'Costumes of the World. IV. Turkey'. Binding rubbed. Overall in very good condition.
