This is a copy of: A SUPPLEMENT TO JOHNSON'S ENGLISH DICTIONARY BY GEORGE MASON, PRINTED FOR H. CARITAT, BOOKSELLER AND LIBRARIAN, NO. 1, CITY HOTEL, FENELON'S HEAD, BROADWAY, DATED 1803. The first page also states: '...of which the palpable errors are attempted to be rectified, and its , material omissions supplied. By George Mason, Author of the Glossary to Hoccleve, and an Essay on Design in Gardening, &c &c (From the London Quarto Edition). This treasure has been stored for several years, and is NOT IN MINT CONDITION! The pages have numerous brown spots, but all of the pages seem to be intact--they are not numbered, but the last word is 'ZOOLOGY,' and there is also an Addenda on the last page. The former owner's name is handwritten on the back inside cover, and states: MICHAEL INMANNS DICTIONARY 1833. Considering the age of this book, it is in overall good condition. There is a musty old book 'fragrance' to it, but I hesitate to use any type of spray on it--the new owner may do that if necessary! Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions you might have. Item has been described to the best of my ability, and is offered 'as is.' Please note that all sales are final. Shipping/packing for this item is $4.00. Insurance is optional and will be extra, quoted at the end of the auction. Thanks for looking!
