The Book of Woodcraft and Indian Lore
by Seton, Ernest Thompson
Very good; Collectible. This book is an out of print, scarce and hard to find hardback and published in 1912 by Doubleday & Page Co. The spine is worn on the top and bottom, Some soiling on the front and back boards. Binding is tight with some darkening of the pages. Although not stated, I belive this to be a first edition book. (Please look at pictures)
Ernest Thompson Seton was a Scots-Canadian (and naturalized U.S. citizen) who became a noted author, wildlife artist, founder of the Woodcraft Indians, and founding pioneer of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Seton also heavily influenced Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting. His notable books related to Scouting include The Birch Bark Roll and The Boy Scout Handbook. He is responsible for the strong influence of American Indian culture in the BSA.
