Works of Dr Jonathan Swift. Volume XVI only containing Letters to and from Dr Jonathan Swift, Dean of St Patrick's Dublin from the year 1703 to 1743 with notes explanatory and Hiftorical, by The Rev Thomas Birch, J Hawkesworth and The Editor, Mr Thomas Wilkes with an Appendix, containing many original Pieces. Printed in Dublin by George Faulkner in 1767. Some of contents include The Dutchefs of Queenfbery to Dr Swift On the death of Mr Gay, Dr Arbuthnot to Dr Swift Of his having the dropfy and an afthma and To the reverend Mr Archdeacon Walls On his defign of making him Prolocutor etc. 'Your grace fairly owes me one hundred and ten pounds a year in the church, which I thus prove'. 260 pages plus 48 pages to Appendix. 5 x 8.50 inches. Book split into three parts. Covers with gilt pattern to front and back. Marking and wear to covers with edges torn. Raised spine with splitting to middle and labels torn with parts of covering missing. Endpapers worn with faded gilt to page edges. Browning and marking to pages and where book has split some pages are detached.
