218-year-old antiquarian 1793 French self-published collection of a remarkably
diverse range of lyric plays, poems, sonnets and operas featuring vast array of
subjects of a Masonic nature such as symbols, ethical & moral principles, harmony,
friendship, numerology of Pythagoras, significant Biblical characters and geographic
locations, ritualistic concepts, along with quasi-Masonic references to authors
Shakespeare and Voltaire, an opera set in the “Ruins of Jerusalem” and all of
it authored by noted Freemason (also supposed occultist / Illuminati) Nicolas
de Bonneville (1760-1828), bookseller, printer, journalist and writer during and
after the French Revolution, said to be one of the first to propose storming of
the Bastille, translator of the essay “Origins of Freemasonry” by his American Revolutionary
Brother Thomas Paine, and who was initiated into Freemasonry in England in 1786
and wrote two books in 1788 on the Craft: Jesuits
