At auction no reserve: a rare and important book, in excellent condition. Influencing Human Behavior, by H. A. Overstreet. A hardcover book without a dust jacket in very good condition, and that's a conservative rating. Copyright 1925 by W. W. Norton and Co. The People's Institute Lectures in Print Series. Black cloth hardbound book with glued-down cover and spine labels. (Because these labels were glued on, they are often absent, especially at the spine.) the cover, like the rest of the book, is in unusually good condition, with the following defects: the spine label is missing small chips, as shown; the cover is very lightly soiled; a small stain marks the edges of the bottom right corner, but none of the stain bleeds through to any of the pages; the owner's signature appears on first free endpaper: Ruth McGrath, dated Feb. 1, 1929; a brief pencil mark brackets a paragraph on p. 134; and there is a slight but even yellowing to the pages. The binding is firm and tight, and really, this is a sound, clean copy that others would grade much higher--I'd call it Very Good .
