One of the more memorable and notorious ninteenth century English
murderers, Palmer trained as a medical doctor, and he had, apparently,
poisoned, in succession, possibly all of his five children, his
mother-in-law, two people to whom he was indebted, his wife, his
housemaid's (and likely his) child, his brother, and, finally, his
friend John Parsons Cook. Evidence was entirely circumstantial, but he
was hung within a year of his arrest.VERY Interesting!!
